A gentlemen`s agreement is an informal agreement that is not legally binding. It is usually shaped verbally, but it can also be written for memory. A gentlemen`s agreement is an agreement or a series of resolutions adopted by the parties knowing that rights and obligations cannot be legally enforced. Thus, you waive your rights and, in the event of an infringement, remove the legal system from the treaty. As a result, these agreements are not covered by contract law. Gentlemen`s agreements were a widespread discriminatory tactic, which would have been more common than restrictive alliances to maintain the homogeneity of upper-class neighborhoods and suburbs in the United States.
